About Me

My name is Hamish Secrett, and I have been training animals professionally since 2004. During that time I have worked with everything from domestic dogs to birds of prey and livestock, training animals for major film and television productions including Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and Star Wars. Working at this level demands reliability, precision and the ability to consistently achieve results.

Training such a wide variety of species has taught me that successful training is built on understanding motivation, communication, confidence and trust. Every animal is different and there is no single method that works for all of them. Good training comes from understanding the individual in front of you and adapting your approach accordingly.

Today, my focus is helping dog owners overcome behavioural problems through intensive residential training programmes. By working with dogs every day in a structured environment, I can achieve progress in weeks that would otherwise take months through traditional lessons. My goal is not simply to change a dog’s behaviour, but to improve the relationship between dog and owner. Each programme is tailored to the individual dog, addressing the root cause of the behaviour and creating lasting change built on trust, communication and understanding.

Choosing someone to work with your dog is an important decision. You need someone with experience, good judgement, and the ability to adapt when things don’t go to plan. Over the years I have worked with everyone from internationally recognised actors and directors to first-time dog owners and I pride myself on being approachable, practical and easy to work with. After more than twenty years of professional animal training, I bring that experience to every dog I work with, helping owners build stronger relationships with their dogs and achieve lasting results.
